You can use a ball or use a rolled up sock to work on your arm circles with this drill. Watch from 0:00 - 2:01
Toss the ball up in the air to yourself keeping your body behind the ball so you can practice coming through the ball. Notice that the feet are always moving and the body is low! Get the ball at the lowest point! Your at-bat actually starts before you leave the dugout and includes your time in the on-deck circle. Check out Amanda Scarborough’s routine. She goes a little slower than I’d like, but she makes a very good point when she says to look at your 3rd base coach each time! Can you show us how you confidently walk up to the plate? This drill is for our 12U - 16/18U leagues. |
