In order to be a Team Volunteer and participate in team activities, including all games and practices (not including Optional Preseason Practices), in any way, you must complete all of our volunteer requirements including:

1. Submit an annual volunteer application
2. Request a background check
3. Complete an online concussion education course

Only after all of the above have been completed and the background check has been passed will a volunteer be approved to assist with team activities.

Note: During the early part of a year as volunteer applications are being submitted and other requirements are being completed, many volunteers will have an Approval Status of "Awaiting Background Check Results". This is primarily because PYS is waiting to run background checks until coaching assignments have been made and/or until the volunteer completes the required online concussion education course. Volunteers with this status do not need to complete any other requirements - they are only waiting for PYS to process their background check.
