Batter's Box Routine

Training at home, especially during the off-season is a great way to stay active and develop skills so you are ready for the upcoming softball season! There are many training resources available online. This is just one of the options recommended by Portage Youth Softball and the Portage High School Softball Program.

Your at-bat actually starts before you leave the dugout and includes your time in the on-deck circle. Check out Amanda Scarborough’s routine. She goes a little slower than I’d like, but she makes a very good point when she says to look at your 3rd base coach each time! Can you show us how you confidently walk up to the plate?

This drill is for our 12U - 16/18U leagues.
