USA SOFTBALL HAS CHANGED THE AGE CUTOFF DATE TO AUGUST 31 INSTEAD OF DECEMBER 31. PYS IS ADOPTING THIS CHANGE. PLAYERS BORN IN SEPTEMBER-DECEMBER WILL RECEIVE AN ADDITIONAL YEAR OF ELIGIBILITY IN THEIR 2023 AGE DIVISION. 2024 PORTAGE PRIDE INFORMATION: COACHING AND PLAYER INTEREST FORMS ARE NOW AVAILABLE. Notice there are not extra steps when the throw down is done. Get the ball quick to the ear and stay low. Do NOT stand all the way up. You can use a ball or use a rolled up sock to work on your arm circles with this drill. Watch from 0:00 - 2:01
Toss the ball up in the air to yourself keeping your body behind the ball so you can practice coming through the ball. Notice that the feet are always moving and the body is low! Get the ball at the lowest point! |
