During the COVID-19 Safer-At-Home Order and during any part of the off-season, we encourage you to use the training resources in this blog to develop your skills and stay active so you are ready for the next softball season!

Training at home, especially during the off-season is a great way to stay active and develop skills so you are ready for the upcoming softball season! There are many training resources available online. This is just one of the options recommended by Portage Youth Softball and the Portage High School Softball Program.
We would love to see our players doing this training drill. You can send us pictures or videos via Facebook or email and you can also post pictures by commenting below. We will showcase some of our players on our Facebook page if they complete this and/or other training drills!
Juggling? Yes, juggling! It is good for hand-eye coordination and lets you challenge yourself. Try this ball juggling challenge. Can you get 1 clap? 2 claps? 3 claps? Or more claps? Post a video on our Facebook page or send us one via email so we can see your awesomeness!

As a reminder, at this time, all Portage softball facilities are closed. Please stay away from all Portage Community School District facilities. Complete this training drill at your home or at an open location while following all social distancing recommendations.
